Looking at that Dell system, it seems a lot closer to Doghouse's $1500 range system. It seems with Doghouse, you are paying the extra money for a hand-built system, 48 hour burn-in test, etc. Those are good things, of course, but to me, not really necessary unless you are a more "extreme" gamer, wanting to play all the latest and greatest games at the highest resolutions.
My gaming PC actually started as the basic Dell Inspiron 531 desktop. I added a mid-range Nvidia card and upgraded the RAM to 4 gigs and it ran WoW at 1680x1050 at smooth framerates. Over a few years, I upgraded to a Geforce 9800 and recently got a quad-core CPU and it's running great.
I have also never had issues with Dell support - the only time i have needed to use that is when a component was defective, and they shipped out the new part right away so I could install it, and included a prepaid box to ship the bad one back.. I'm guessing that's also the only support you would need also.
So, unless the IRS accidentally sends you two refund checks, I would go with the Dell, which looks to be a step or 2 up from the entry-level Doghouse system for the same price. This is based on the important aspect being really good performance at that price range.
I am definitely not knocking Doghouse in any way - they make really high quality systems. But as someone on a "normal" budget with some decent technical skills, I wouldn't have any regrets getting the Dell and wiping all their crapware off and making sure it's tweaked the right way.
That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

I went up a level and still cannot justify the Doghouse

SOUND CARD Soundblaster® X-Fi™ Xtreme Audio

To get a matching DogHouse, I needed to go to the Armor TL 5850 and that is $2595.

I would love to see a justification for that mark up.

I don't know that missing out on the M.I. interview was all that much of a miss. I ran into him at TBRU and even mentioned that I follow his twitter. Well he couldn't be bothered. In fact he was pretty stand-offish from just about anyone who came up to him that evening. I'm sure it could have been stress or just being tired after having to do a lot to get the movie off the ground, but He was just holed away in a corner behind a TV looking miserable.

Then, the next morning he tweets that everyone was just acting like highschoolers blaming his night on everyone else. Heck, I know about being anti-social and trying to fume in a corner, and dude, your miserable night was what you made of it. If you had a problem with what was going on, maybe you should have just gone to bed.

Man, don't worry about not being able to go to runs. It's overrated. Too many people, everyone dis-ing others because they think the next hot thing is right around the corner. Truly, work on friendships that you can actually keep up with and don't last the same length of time as a text message.

Blizzcon mentioned that race changes will come sometime after faction changes, so it will be post-Cat that you are able to change races within your faction.
